Hats for Headway Day

As corporate members of the charity ‘Headway’, we at Smith Jones will be donning our hats on Friday 12th May in an attempt to raise valuable funds for the charity.

Hats for Headway Day is an event organised by the charity to help raise awareness and funds in support of those who have suffered from or are still suffering a brain injury. This event takes place during Action for Brain Injury Week (8th – 14th May) and is a simple, fun and easy way to raise money for the charity.

Headway is a charity dedicated to improving life after brain injury for survivors and the people around them. With this aim in mind, Headway provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, and also to professionals in the legal and healthcare sectors. The charity was formed in 1979 and since then has opened around 125 local branches all of which aim to improve the lives of local people who suffer from a brain injury. Headway branches local to our offices include:

Headway Burnley and Pendle
Headway Blackburn with Darwen
Headway Preston & Chorley

West Midlands:

Headway Coventry and Warwickshire
Headway Birmingham and Solihull

Headway relies on donations from events like this to continue to provide vital services to brain injury survivors and their families. They then invest this money to help brain injury survivors, families, carers and GPs gain a greater understanding of brain injury. They can also help survivors and families with travel costs to hospital or rehabilitation, with accommodation costs and other family costs in the immediate aftermath of brain injury.

As Specialist Personal Injury Solicitors, we understand how a brain injury can seriously affect the life of a person and the people around them. As such we would like to thank everybody who is taking part in such a vital fundraiser and to thank those who have kindly joined us in supporting Headway.
